Preset Manager
InvestigatingRoblox · Studio Plugin
A way to save named presets covering properties, attributes, tags and collision groups, then apply them to a selection in one click, with a preview before anything changes.
This is a score we use to sort ideas, not a chance of success.
The problem
People keep setting up the same properties, attributes, tags and collision groups on object after object. It is slow, and it is easy to get one of them wrong.

What already exists
We searched the Creator Store for plugins that could compete with this and looked closely at 4 of them.
This copies attributes in bulk, which covers part of the idea. It does not do named presets across properties, tags and collision groups, and there is no preview before applying.
What might still be missing
We found a plugin that copies attributes in bulk, which covers part of this. We have not found one that also handles properties, tags and collision groups together as reusable presets.
Can it be built?
Studio lets a plugin read and change properties, attributes, tags and collision groups on selected objects, so storing and applying presets looks possible.
This is our best guess from reading the public APIs, not a guarantee. Roblox can change its APIs at any time.
Commercial notes
These are guesses, not proof anyone would pay.
- Why it might be worth it
- This is one of the more promising ideas here. People run into this often, it is easy to say who would buy it, and it looks doable to build.
- Who it's for
- Builders and teams who set up a lot of similar objects and want a faster way to do it.
- How it could make money
- Probably a paid plugin, a modest one time price.
- What would make it different
- We have not found a plugin that combines properties, attributes, tags and collision groups into one reusable preset system.
- How much work it'd be
- The Studio APIs for this are straightforward. The hard part is good design, safe bulk editing and solid undo support.
- What could go wrong
- Needs to handle properties that cannot be changed or do not apply everywhere, plus real undo support. If Roblox improves Studio's own tools, some of the value could shrink, but probably not all of it.
Current take
We found a plugin that copies attributes in bulk, which covers part of this idea. We have not found one that also handles presets across properties, tags and collision groups. Worth checking with developers before building anything.
This status reflects the current evidence and can change as we learn more.
